Hi friends!

My name is Kristina, but you can call me Kris.

I was born and raised in central Texas, I prefer Matcha over coffee and hummus over queso (it is not up for debate), I love Jesus, and I love people. Some of my hobbies include traveling, cooking, rock climbing, hiking, writing, and reading. If it involves nature or food, count me in.

Innately, I am a teacher and nurturer. I studied Early Childhood Education at a university and received my undergraduate degree in 2020, beginning the pursuit of a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate shortly after. I have a deep passion for the academic and spiritual growth of children, specifically the underprivileged. This goes hand and hand with my passion for service, as well as culture and diversity.

In 2020, I had a one way ticket booked to Thailand to teach English. As much as I'd like to blame COVID for interrupting my plans, I am certain that the Lord did. You see, the most impactful thing you can leave with someone is the gospel, not an education. Once my priorities were aligned, the Lord placed me back on track, only this time, He was the center.ย As I began my search for short-term mission trips, a friend presented the World Race to me and exclaimed it was exactly what I was looking for. I began research, quickly fell in love with the mission, and realized she was right! So here I am...setting out on a journey to reach the unreached, to experience God in new ways, to grow spiritually as I escape my comforts and distractions, and to leave an eternal impact on the paths of those I cross.

I am so excited for you to join me in this journey!
